To keep the business going, Holly fills in as Santa's Helper at her family's store, where she meets a young Santa, Nick, and falls in love. When Nick disappears, in a Cinderella story reversal, Holly searches for him with her only clue, his misplaced black boot, and finally reunites with him at the Christmas Eve dance.
