We can see the changes of the main character Mortimer Brewster - from an ordinary man just married to a mess because he has to solve the mess in his family. Two crazy aunts Abby and Martha always help the old man from suffering life by poison, his brother Teddy always think " I'm Theodore Roosevelt". Not only that Mortimer was threatened his brother Jonathan - a crazy murderer. But in the end when everything is alright, it is whimsical that Mortimer was not the member of Brewster family.
