The River Why

, a 2010 American independent drama film, is an adaptation of the 1983 Sierra Club novel of the same name. It tells the story of a young man, Augustine "Gus" Orviston. He abandons his family for a solitary life of fly-fishing. His goal is to find his own way in the fishing world and thereby find himself and love.
