The First 48: In Cleveland, Ohio a grandfather of five is found brutally stabbed to death on a stranger's driveway. Investigators follow a trail that leads to a shocking motive for murder, and ends with a courtroom decision that surprises both defense and prosecution. And in Birmingham Alabama, a man is murdered in front of several witnesses, but for both police and prosecutor the simple case of cold-blooded murder becomes a cat and mouse game between the killer and justice.
