The Bill: PC Valentine agrees to investigate an assault on the boyfriend and business partner of his estranged wife Sandra, who seeks a divorce. The boyfriend proves uncooperative, and Valentine soon establishes that he is a crook. PC Murphy finally agrees to marry PC Kent. Sgt Ackland demands to know when he plans to tell his fiancï¿½e his true identity. Sgt Smith tracks down the suspended Insp Gold who reveals that her cancer has been successfully treated.
