In this film, a veteran attorney and his ambitious young daughter, also an attorney, find themselves facing off in court in this melodrama. He, an idealist who always fights for the underdog, is representing a group of car owners who are suing an auto maker because their cars exploded during minor fender benders. She, a corporate shark, is defending the manufacturer. As father and daughter go head to head in court, they also end up resolving a few troubling personal issues.
